JAL - Japan Airlines

JAL, is the national airline and flag carrier of Japan.It is one of the largest airline operators in Asia, and is a member of the Oneworld global airline alliance.

Based at Narita International Airport (for international flights) and TokyoInternational Airport (for domestic flights), Japan Airlines operates scheduled and non-scheduled international and domestic services.to 125 destinations worldwide. The airline's corporate headquarters are located in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan. The JAL fleet consists of 196 passenger and 17 cargo aircrafts.

Kingfisher Airlines is an airline based in Bangalore, India. It operates more than 400 flights a day and has a network of 72 destinations, with

Kingfisher is one of six airlines in the world to have a five-star rating from Skytrax, along with Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways.Kingfisher Airlines fleet currently consists of 75 aircrafts.

five star airlines, they have also been awarded SkyTrax’s Best Economy Class of 2008 awards. It was founded in 1988 & it is operating to 77 destination with a fleet size of 68  aircrafts.

Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines - flag carrier of Malaysia. It was founded in 1947 and it's new name was changed in 1987 , from Malaysian Airline System to Malaysia Airlines.

Recently , it is operating to 114 destinations , with a fleet size of 85 aircrafts and few other aircrafts in order , including Super Jumbo A 380 . Along with Cathy-Pacific , it is one of only six airlines worldwide to hold Skytrax's five-star rating .

British Airways

Relying too heavily on past reputation, British Airways has slipped from its first place ranking in 2006 all the way down to 10th position.

The founding member of the Oneworld travel alliance obviously needs to lift its game if it wants to regain the top spot.
